Giancarlo Quaranta, founder and President of CERFE, passed away in Rome on November 12, 2015. We share the grief of his family, remembering the scientific rigour and the passion Giancarlo gave to our epistemological, theoretical and empirical research in the field of sociology, thus generously training various generations of researchers. Masters are always with us, even when they passed away.
